As we experience life around
us
As we grow from childhood
As we live through trauma
As we compromise and fit in
As we ‘deal' with stress
As we act out who we have to
be rather than who we are |
Our emotional responses are silenced and
suppressed.
And are forced down into our bodies and
hidden away.
Silenced, imprisoned, judged.
Our emotional responses need to be
expressed and witnessed and they take the ‘leak out' into our
physical bodies.
- they are somatised
– they become
locked into the physical structure of our bodies.
More often than not our body begins to
exhibit and express those hidden feelings.
We suffer physical pain.
We take on postures and stances that
inhibit us.
Our bodies seem to act in defiance of
our selves.
Psycho-energetic healing is a process in
which these feelings are released from the holding parts of our
bodies, not only bringing physical but also emotional and
psychological relief.
Our bodies will hold our pain when no
one else can.
Psycho-energetic healing bring
consolation and compassion to our incarnation.
Practices used in Bodywork and
Psycho-energetic Healing:
Process Acupressure—processing
the emotional blockages in the meridian system, based on Dr.
Ahmina Raheem's research
Therapeutic Touch—rebalancing
the Energetic Body, based on Dolores Krieger response to ‘laying
on of hands'
De-Armouring— spiritually
working with the physical restrainers created by the body that
have been created to protect and no longer serve
Shiatsu— mobilising the
flow of Chi through the physical system
Movement meditation—harmonising
the body with its spiritual and emotion counterparts
Trance dance—freeing the
body from the minds rules and obsessions
Chakra scanning and re-balancing
– enabling and facilitating Kundalini flow
TAMS (see
workshops) – stimulating
the meridians
