The Three Souls
Shamanic Practitioner Apprenticeship
Shamans see in the dark places and into that dark they usher the light. Shamans live in appreciation of their part and their connection to the holographic and pan-dimensional Universe. It is through their flames of passion that they illuminate the path for others. But to be such a bright and fierce fire, Shamans set their souls and hearts aflame; this is their willing sacrifice. The three souls training is a journey to discover the fuel of that fire, experience the flame of that fire and to surrender to that fire in the service of others and the waiting Universal Divine.
The Apprenticeship prepares students for Initiation as Lineage Shaman into the Wolven Path Tradition. This is a re-enlivenment of an ancient North European Tradition with links to Nordic, Druidic and Celtic traditions.
The Tradition calls to the Ancestors for their wisdom and to the Descendants for their enactment, reminding the Apprentices of the Transitory stand as servants for the Community and the Bridge between the First & the Last.
The Wolven Path, into which successful Apprentices seek Initiation, follows an Ancestral Lineage line to our First Shaman Fao Lin Mac Tire, The Son of the Land, The Wolf Walker, Bran Fhi Theach, the Dark Winged Raven, The Stag who holds the Sun, The Boar with the Moon in its belly, and the Bear that sleeps.
Each lunar year explores in greater depth and awareness, the spiritual connection to the earthly incarnation, the processes, and rituals that create the dance of healing.
The ethos of the Training Apprenticeship is to provide personal, intensive tutoring for small numbers of students. This enables students to work in a safe and continually motivating environment, which will allow the development of their spiritual selves.
The Lineage Tradition is a Community Tradition and Apprentices are expected to be an active part of the Community
The Apprenticeship in total covers 40 training weekends, one every 5-6 weeks. Between each training apprentices are urged to maintain their learning and practice with projects and self study, which will include a short written assignment and journalised experience. Case studies, recorded practical application, community work, Clan networking and evidence of supervision, will also be expected.
Students will work towards developing the sacred skills and knowledge on which to found their Shamanic interaction, service and relationships. This will require self exploration and self healing. It is my hope and wish that all Training Apprentices become the dreamers for others; that with the flames of their own hearts, they will see in the darkness without fear, but with love.
Opportunities for creating Shamanic Tools will be made available. A hand drum and ritual & Initiation tunics are provided, as well as all training materials and study notes.
Training hours over 40 training events (40 weekends) are calculated as:
Year 1 - 13 trainings - 208 contact training hours + 40 study hours +8 hours community work + 6 hours clan network + 6 hours client work – 268 hours.
Year 2 –13 trainings - 208 contact training hours + 60 study hours +12 hours community work + 8 hours clan network + 18 hours client work & supervision – 306 hours
Year 3 – (divided into 4 trainings and 10 Initiation preparation trainings)
14 trainings - 220 contact training hours + 80 study hours +30 hours community work + 20 hours clan network + 30 hours client work & supervision – 380 hours
Total hours for the complete apprenticeship 954 (40 months)
The commitment to accrue 34 hours community involvement with the Wolven Path Community; workshops, gatherings, graduations, ceremonies etc. is essential to graduation
Given that the apprenticeship is a life changing commitment, 954 hours is the basic guideline, soul hours are extra!
The Apprentices completing as Initiands will be eligible to go forward to be initiated as Shaman of The Wolven Path and registered as Clergy in the Society.
Apprentices are invited to begin each May. If you would like to be considered for Apprenticeship please email for your next step.
